Latest Updates from Our Project:

New pledge level!
27 days ago – Fri, Sep 18, 2026 at 04:41:27 PM

I'd normally have put this up tomorrow, but I need to make sure that, going forward, people know about the special deal before they pledge.  There's now a special digital-only $15 pledge: Ripper, Hanging Fifteen! At that level, you'll get  digital copies of Frozen Dreams and Tinsel Rain (EPUB), a digital copy of Banshee Beach (EPUB and PDF), your name in the book, and all stretch goals.

I won't lie: it'd be awesome if people don't bother to adjust their pledges over five dollars. But fair's fair, and I know money's tight for a lot of folks right now.

Thirteen days left! And I'd like all of you to spread the word.

It's been a rough year for crowdfunding, so I'm very happy that BANSHEE BEACH has hit its funding goal, and the first stretch goal as well. There's more stretch goals, though! Including the one where I get to pay the artist and editor more for their work, because, well, it's been a rough year for everybody in the creative fields, honestly.

So now is a great time to talk up the Backerkit. Some links to pass around:

There's also the second-order stuff.

Also, check out my cross-collaboration partner Sherlock Holmes: Mistletoe Mysteries, and the folks in Printopia Fantasy and Printopia generally. There are rewards for backing multiple projects, and we're all Bozos on this bus.

Be Seeing You!

PS: I'll be at Risucon next week, by the way. Stop by, if you're in Montgomery County, Maryland that day. And be sure to talk up the Backerkit when you're there.

Another livestream on September 17th, 2 PM Eastern Time.

I'm not running this one, although I'm going to be on it. This one is from Laura Van Arendonk and Shard of Elan (romantasy series).

We'll be on for two hours on Thursday, from 2 PM to 4 PM Eastern Time. Keep an eye out for the link! (And don't forget to check out the new digital add-ons! Frozen Dreams and Tinsel Rain are the first two books in the series!)

Resending the update on Printopia projects I'm backing. [FIXED.]
about 1 month ago – Mon, Sep 14, 2026 at 10:09:51 AM

The email system apparently seriously dislikes adding too many pictures. Good to know! Also: please note that the bookplate add-on has been repaired, and two digital book add-ons for Frozen Dreams and Tinsel Rain are now live. Check them out here. (If it doesn't work this time, I'm just gonna send a ticket to Backerkit and not fill people's inboxes with weirdly-formatted posts.)

Original message: Here's all the projects from Printopia 2026 that I've backed so far. In alphabetical order, so as to avoid ranking them or anything like that. (Obviously, my own project Banshee Beach is here.)

[UPDATED: Removed the pictures, because they were blowing things up in the email. Sorry about that.]
